BikeInShapes will employ some abstract cubism referencing a baby’s rattle and a cinnamon roll, starting at 7pm from the Growler Guys (on 7th and Washington) and finishing at the Bier Stein. Thanksgiving in the Willamette Valley calls for only the finest ingredients. Let’s wet our mock-tryptophan taste buds this Thursday, and ride in the shape of a glistening Tofurkey over Kale. We’ll meet at the new Hop Valley in the Whitaker at 7pm, Thursday and the pligramage-cycle will ensue. Vegans, veggieheads, flexitarians, and even carnivores are all welcome! 
Are you ready for the Prime-ary time?! Let’s dip our wheels, and paint an ode to the original city grid artist…Piet Mondrian. Meet at Falling Sky’s new Delicatessan (on 10th & Blair) on Thursday, October 17th at 7pm and ride this way and that. Extra points for wearing your favorite primary color!
Let’s bring back a classic shape, and ride a cheers to our dear state, Oregon. Let’s meet at 7pm this Thursday at the Cannery. We’ll head up “Hwy 101” (aka High Street) to the “Columbia River” (ere..the Willamette), soaking up the first gulps of fall all the way around.
Puzzle me this…this Thursday will be BikeInShapes first foray into Downtown Springfield! We’ll be visiting one of the new “springs” of Springfield, Plank Town Brewing Company. Let’s meet this Thursday at 7pm on the Autzen Footbridge, and trace the “power cord” along the river to the “jig saw.”(Click on Calendar for full map). We’ll end at Plank Town Brewing Company (4th & Main). All are welcome & thanks to Plank Town for $1 off pints and appetizers!
This should peak your interest…BikeInShapes’s annual summer “Tour de Shapes” is coming! We’re riding out to Agrarian Ales Hop Farm and Brewery in Coburg, tracing the shape of “Mt. Hood.” We’ll depart next Sunday (7/7) from Arriving by Bike (Willamette and 27th) at 10:30am*, and dock at Agrarian by lunch. First beer is free for bicyclists. It’ll be a 14 mile trek out, so bring water for the ride. Extra credit for wearing “Hoodies” or red bicycles (aka, little red rides…in the Hood).
*Springfield/Coburg Rd. ‘shapers can jump on the ride as we pass the Coburg Rd. Papa’s Pizza around 11am+/-.
BikeInShapes is turning three years old! (Those terrible-twos were something else). To celebrate, let’s ride in the shape of our favorite three-horned friend, a triceratops. And after a triceratops ride, there’s pretty much only one beer we can return to: Ninkasi’s “Tricerahops.”
